PRIZES: 2 family tickets to the South West Model Railway Show 14th-15th June, at the Fleet Air Arm Museum, Yeovilton (tickets include entry to the Fleet Air Arm Museum and its exhibits)
A major new event for the Fleet Air Arm Museum, the South West Model Railway Show follows the success of the Museum's two annual model shows, and is aimed purely at the model railway enthusiast. Supported by manufacturers Hornby and Peco, the show will take place over two days within the Museum’s four exhibition Halls. In addition to numerous trade stands, the show will feature some of the UK's most impressive layouts including the N gauge Moorcock Junction, the 40 ft long Tarrant Valley and the 59 ft long layout by the Westford modellers Group.
The event promises to be quite a spectacle as it will be set among Europe’s largest collection of naval aircraft and the first British built Concorde. Doors will open to the public at 10.00am and normal museum entry prices will apply. So when not looking at the show, visitors will be free to see the whole Museum from the award winning Aircraft Carrier Experience to going on board Concorde. Advance tickets will be available in the Museum ticket office and on line www.fleetairarm.com six weeks prior to the event.
